  2. Questions for Keith pt. 1 • What are you expecting as a final result? Our current understanding is that we’re making a system that takes in a variable voltage from the rocket battery and regulates it for several different outputs with different voltage and current requirements. We measure the voltage, current, and temperature for each regulator and use a MUX to read it and output it to a graphical user interface. • Are we receiving connectors to hook up to the rest of the rocket? What else will we be receiving? • Do you want each electronic component to be designed for shock? Does the system need to operate under shock, or just survive it? • Do you want the power supply turned on at all times, or would you like switches?

Questions for Keith pt. 2 • What problems do you foresee? • Would you like us to make a mechanical system to help the electronics survive more shock? • For housekeeping, are we measuring voltage across each regulator or output voltage from each regulator? • XMEN data card>3-line serial interface>8-bit DAC (2.5-5V) > variable power supply : how do you want to set the power? • Wording that confused us: • "the returns for the secondaries of the converters“(slide 6) • "data card" in XMEN- is this what we’re making? What exactly is the “command tester?” • What does SRIB stand for? • Where would you like the battery ground in relation to the regulated voltages?

Questions for Keith pt. 3 • Large/high current regulators vs. small ones with op amp buffers? • How independent is independent? • 1 regulator per voltage (3.3V, 5V, 12V, etc.)? • 1 regulator per voltage per channel (3 x (1 A @ 12 V), etc.)? • Redundant regulators for each voltage on each channel (2 x (3 x ((1A @ 3.3 V) + 1 x (500mA @ 3.3V))))? • …and then what about op amps? • How big can this board be? • 6V AC? • Any tips for dropping from +V on the battery to +12V regulated, +5 reg., etc.? High power loss = hot = bad • Analog sensors/communication/multiplexing vs. digital ones/one wire protocol?
