  2. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Middlesbrough is part of the province of Liverpool. It was founded in  1878, with the splitting of the Diocese of Beverley which had covered all of Yorkshire. Middlesbrough Diocese covers an area of 4,000 km² in North Yorkshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire, together with the City of York.

  7. From the Passing on the Faith Project we are hoping…. To really hear all 3 voices • Teachers • the parish • family For example: to build on work Engaging with the parents of children in Catholic primary schools – finding new ways….. Eg… 1st Holy Communion parents: work with parents and empower parents to work with children eg…to invite them to remain connected with the Parish at the point of departure from Primary School WE HOPE THE PILOT WILL FURTHER INFORM……

You Belong…. • The rhythm of life in the Church goes on, Sunday after Sunday after Sunday…like a heart beat, pumping life around the Body… • God speaks – words of encouragement and healing, comfort and peace….. • God feeds us – with Word and the bread and the cup of life! • Beyond our understanding… • Little by little we are changed and become the people we are made to be, fully human, fully alive!

  10. And Jesus continues to invite you • To belong – you and your children • You are part of US and we are incomplete without you! • You said ‘Yes’ for your children – do you mean it?.... • Your children said Yes, and need your support to continue their own pathway in faith

  11. How can we continue to support you as families? And you us? • In the Parish….. • Come to Mass – the support you receive in the Mass is beyond words and understanding and is very REAL • Pop into Church for a quiet prayer from time to time • Keep in touch with each other – support each other as parents • Look out for others who need your help
