  2. Pro’s of openconcept classroom • Children will assume greater initiative in resource use. • Teachers get to know the children better. • Team teaching in open concept classrooms contributes to better academic success. • See more veteran teachers in action without ever leaving my classroom.

  4. Tip to survival • Classroom rules---> “ pod” rules Example: Voice levels 5 = Emergency 4 = outside and presentation 3 = Group work 2 = Whisper 1 = Silent

  5. Tip to survival • Team working Share classroom management techniques, plan lessons, team teach, and share materials.

  6. Tip to survival • Space arrangement • Arrange your meeting area at the opposite end from other teacher. • put up some "walls" to help minimize distractionsby using chalkboard, bulletin boards, screens, cabinet, book shelves…ect.

  8. Tip to survival • Don’t be afraid to ask for HELP ! • Be prepared and be flexible! • Be a good disciplinarian !
