  1. Prayer & Intercession Finding God’s heart ‘The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective’ or ‘avails much’ (James 5:16)

  2. Watch over your House - The Power of Blessing Protect yourself, family and property by covering them with the blood of Jesus. Watch and pray to avoid temptation. Proclaim Isaiah 54: 17: ‘No weapon formed against us shall prosper.’ Psalm 91

  3. Re-building Spiritual walls and bringing Reconciliation ‘Ilooked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.’

  4. Pray for those in Authority over Us “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” (1Tim 2: 1-2)

  6. Prayer goes hand in hand with Action Nehemiah appeals to God with weeping, prayer and fasting for the sins of his people, reminding God of His promise to re-gather them. Then he asks the king for permission to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the walls. (Nehemiah1:3b-11)

King Solomon’s Prayer at the Dedication of the Temple God replied: ‘If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now Mine eyes shall be open and Mine ears attentive unto the prayer that is made in this place ’. ( 2 Chronicles 7:14-15)

We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.’ Ephesians 6:18 ‘Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.’

  21. Daniel’s Trust in the Lord for DeliveranceDuring the exile in Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar made a decree that no-one should pray to any god except himself. Daniel refused to deny Yahweh and prayed giving thanks 3 times a day towards Jerusalem. (Daniel 6:10) He interceded for the Jewish people for the sake of God’s name and the city that bears His name. (Daniel 9:4-19) As a result of his faith-filled prayers the exile was reduced from 70 years to 67!

  22. Daniel’s Vision of YeshuaGod reveals His secrets The arch-angel Michael was ‘detained by the King of Persia’ in the spiritual battle over Israel. Daniel had started praying 3 weeks before the battle was won, but God had heard his prayer. God had also given Daniel revelation of His plan of salvation and the End Times in the 70 weeks prophecy.

  23. How to be a Watchman God is the chief watchman ‘He neither slumbers or sleeps’ (Psalm 121) ‘Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.’(Psalm 127) 1. Watch the Lord- dwell in Him, his loveliness, holiness and goodness. Song of Songs, Philippians 4;8: ‘ whatever is good, noble’ etc. 2.Watch His WORD- meditate on it day and night. Psalm 1, Joshua 1 3.Give thanksPsalm 100 ‘Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.’

  24. How to be a Watchman 4. Worship the Lord and enjoy Him. 5. Pour out your heart. 6. Wait on the Lord. Listen, especially for timing. Be led by the Holy Spirit. 7. Inquire of the Lord. Ask questions: ‘What should I do ?’ Listen. Hear what the Spirit is saying. 9. Stand firm. Put on the full armour of God. Hold fast and fast as led by the Holy Spirit. 10. Enter into victory warfare. Proclaim the victory! 12. Shout joyfully. Burst into songs.
