  1. A Collection of Activities we Indulged in in Fun With Physics, My Favorites, and What I Learned While Doing Them By Chorus Jennings

  2. Catapults • Big, bulky, wooden contraptions that fire heavy objects at people. Ours wasn’t very effective and couldn’t fire very far… the hinge fell off our arm. Honestly, id be more afraid of the catapults rather than the things is fires. Even so, this was one of my Favorite activities.

  3. Like a catapult but it’s lighter and uses a counter weight to produce a sea saw effect to fire whatever you want. This was one of my favorite activities. It worked but we lost many a tennis ball when we tested it. This is a dedication to the tennis balls lost on March 29th, 2006. “Swing low, sweet chariot, commin forth to carry me home,” Trebuchets

  4. The Air Force Museum • This was my favorite thing we did. We saw a lot. Items from wars, planes, planes, and more planes… and a piece of the Berlin wall. • When we went through the modern air craft exhibits we saw all kinds of advanced air crafts as well as some…

  5. Rockets! • My most favorite thing we did. This activity taught me a lot, and some of what I learned are listed as follows:

  6. In designing a rocket, there are many things to consider: • wind resistance, • weight, • Force

  7. A sturdy rocket needs sturdy glue, Elmer’s doesn’t cut it.

  8. Sometimes, prayer helps.

  9. They Don’t always launch, but always be sure to take out the key before you step over the rocket

  10. Of course, when they do fly try to keep an eye on where they’re going, finding them is a pain.
