  1. Automotive Supply Simulation for 12V, 24V and 42V systems

  2. The Automotive Supply Simulation System consists of Power unit 2-Quadrant-Amplifier Control unit SyCore with two synthesizer Pulse generator CAR-TESTER Software “Test software ISO 7637” and “Signal Manager”

  3. 2-Quadrant-Amplifiere.g. type PAS 2000/GN/Kfz The power amplifier serves as adjustable voltage source for simulation of power supply voltage levels 12V, 24V and 42V. The simulation of the new 42V on-board system is realised by means of the third output voltage range (0-58V).

  4. 2-Quadrant-Amplifiere.g. type PAS 2000/GN/Kfz Moreover the power amplifier allows generation of pulse #2b and pulse #4 for all three power supply levels. As an option the power amplifier is able to generate pulse #5a and pulse #5b.

  5. General requirement for power supply Short-time power capability High peak load ability Wide frequency range DC up to 50kHz (small signal band with)

  6. Additional Specification according to ISO 7637-1 (1990) Point 4.4 If a standard power supply (with sufficient capacity) is used in bench testing to simulate the battery, it is important that the low internal impedance of the battery also be simulated.

  7. Additional Specification according to ISO 7637-1 (1990) Point 4.4 The continuous supply source shall have an internal resistance Ri less than 0.01 and an internal impedance Zi = Ri for frequencies less than 400Hz. The output voltage shall not deviate more than 1V from 0 to maximum load (including inrush current) and shall recover 63% of its maximum excursion within 100µs. The superimposed ripple voltage, Ur, shall not exceed 0,2V peak-to-peak and have a maximum frequency of 400Hz.

  8. Requirement for test pulse generator according to ISO 7637-1 Point 4.6 The test pulse generator shall be capable of producing the test pulses described in 4.6.1 to 4.6.7 and shall be adjustable within the limits given in figures 6 to 13. Tolerances for the parameters are ± !0% for time and resistance, and +10% for voltage (Va and Vs)
