  9. Absent Policy • If a student is absent they are responsible forgetting their missed work and assignments. • If homework was given they will have as many days as they were absent to make it up without penalty. • They can find this on my webpage

  10. Interactive Composition Books • Students are creating their textbooks. • Learning goals • Notes – text and teacher • Labs – data, graphs, conclusions • Illustrations • Writing

  11. Grades • The entire science department at Ereckson grades on the same scale as follows: • Test & Projects 45% • Quizzes & Labs 35% • Daily & Homework 20%

  12. Late Work Policy & Re-doing Work • On Level students will have 3 days to turn in their work for a maximum grade of 70. • Pre-AP has 1 day to turn in their work for a maximum grade of 60. • Once given the opportunity to re-do work, the student may not make any higher than the grade listed above.

  13. Test Corrections • If a student scores below a 70 on a test they are allowed to arrange a tutoring time to complete test corrections. • Students have up to one week after the test to do test corrections.

  14. Homework Club &Saturday School • Failure to complete work in a timely manner? • Homework Club! • Homework Club is considered an “Extended School Day” and will be marked as truant if they do not show.. • The purpose of Homework Club is student success! • Teachers are available to help insure work is completed.
