  2. Introduction • This project concerns the rental of an apartment in NYC. The project will go over the following points: • Which apartment • Payment • Roommates • Furnishings • Obligations as Tennant

  3. Paying for the Apartment • The apartment that I chose to rent out is located in NYC • On Lexington Ave. • Has 2 Beds, One Bath • I Chose this apartment because it is affordable and in a decent area in a great city. • I plan on paying for the apartment with the high paying corporate job that I have at a Manhattan financial firm • Some utilities that I will have to pay include: rent ($1800), water, electric, etc.

  4. Roommates • Because the price of rent it so high, it is essential that I have roommates. • The apartment has enough room for two people to live comfortably so one additional person could join me. • To avoid argument and fights over money, the way that rent and utilities would be split right down the middle. 50/50 seems to be the only way to have everyone stay happy.

  5. Furnishing the Apartment • Furnishing the apartment would be simple because I would only have to worry about my room. I would include my bed, dressers, cabinets, and a desk. The corner of the room would have a TV. • I would add a rug because plain hardwood would be sort of boring.

  6. Tenant Obligations • Based on the agreement that I signed at the beginning of my lease, I have several obligations to follow. • I have to pay the rent on time, pay the utilities, I can not make major changes but I can have a pet. I also have to pay a security deposit which I a little high at $2000
