  1. Step 1. Secure clamp on hose

  2. Step 2. Add water to funnel up to screen

  3. Step 3. Place tissue on screen in funnel

  4. Step 4. Add soil to tissue

  5. Soil on tissue

  6. Step 5. Fold tissue corners over

  7. Soil / tissue packet on screen in funnel

  8. Step 6. Add water at edge until it reaches top of soil packet

  9. Step 7. Let Baermann funnel sit at room temperature Step 8. After 1-3 days, carefully draw off a few drops of liquid

  10. Step 9. Observe with a dissecting microscope
