Complacency: self-satisfaction or satisfaction with the status quo. • Lack of concern for the lost. • Hiding or covering secret sins. • Animosity toward other Christians. • Having an unforgiving spirit. • Being filled with pride. • Any condition of spiritual standing where we are less than we were before . . . • Whenever the love of God's people has grown cold. • Consider the symptoms: 65th St church of Christ - 10/16/2005

And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; [3] and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name's sake and have not become weary.   7. Their condition . . . “You have left your first love” . . . “You have fallen” What To Do . . REPENT! DO THE FIRST WORKS OR ELSE!! Rev. 2:1-7 (NKJV) . . . [4] Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.   8. Their condition . . . you are neither cold nor hot. . . . Not pleasing to the Lord . . . . . . I will vomit you out of My mouth. Rev. 3:14-16 (NKJV) "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: [15] I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot.   10. Escaping Indifference . . . buy from Me gold refined in the fire, . . . Be clothed in white garments . . . anoint your eyes . . . be zealous and repent. Rev. 3:18-19 (NKJV) I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
