  2. (1888PressRelease) During a trip to France, Alicyn Roy received a recommendation from a local that suggested that the best was to see France's Loire Valley was by way of hot air balloon. Alicyn Roy, a resident of Los Angeles, CA, had the time of her life on a trip to France's Loire Valley - and has some incredible photos to prove it. The photos were so spectacular that they were selected as finalist submissions in the travel magazine Conde Nast's 2008 Dream Trip Traveler Contest. Applicants submitted photographs to a contest, along with a description of what they would describe as their dream vacation. The grand prize winner received an all expense paid trip to the "dream destinations" set forth in their contest application. During a trip to France, Alicyn Roy received a recommendation from a local that suggested that the best was to see France's Loire Valley was by way of hot air balloon. Alicyn Roy remembers the flight as incredibly moving - a beautiful view of the French countryside, which gave fodder to some incredible photos. The landing - was another thing all together. Her balloonist had a rather rough encounter with the fields of a local farmer - but all survived to tell the tale, and were able to share some incredible photos as well.
