  2. About Ms. Beard • Teaching 4 Years • Bachelor’s Degree at Georgia State University • Masters Degree at Brenau University • Utilize lots of technology in the classroom

  3. The seventh grade social studies curriculum focuses on: The Middle East; Africa, and; Asia. For each of the regions studied we will examine: Geography History and Culture Government, and; Economics. Map and Globe Skills and Information Process Skills are integrated throughout the year. The first 9 weeks we study The Middle East. Social Studies Curriculum

  4. Class Expectations • Students will keep and maintain an Interactive Social Studies Notebook. • They will keep notes and graded assignments in their notebooks. • Students will record daily homework in their student agenda as we begin class each day.

  5. Grading Policy • Homework 10% • Classwork / Participation 20% • Tests / Projects 40% • Quizzes 30% • All major grades: tests, quizzes, and projects will be kept on file in the classroom.
