  2. How to find a scripture reference in The Bible • Mark 4:35-41 Book Verses Chapter

An important fact to remember… • The Bible is split into two MAIN sections; The Old Testament and The New Testament. • If you look at the inside FRONT cover of your Bible, you will find the index for the books from The OLD Testament. • If you look at the inside BACK cover of your Bible, you will find the index for the books in the NEW Testament. • Because the Bible is split into these two sections, the page numbers start again when at the Gospel of Matthew, where the New Testament begins. In the general index, the letters NT stand for New Testament and the letters OT stand for Old Testament.

  4. Let’s try a few together…. • Use the index in the front of your Bible to find the book of Genesis. • Who can tell me what Genesis Chapter 1 verse 7 tells us? • Remember, the Chapter numbers are the BIG numbers and the verse numbers are the small ones. Answer:
