  2. BISTIC Mission • To make optimal use of computer science and technology to address problems in biology and medicine by fostering new basic understandings, collaborations, and transdisciplinary initiatives between the computational and biomedical sciences.

  3. BISTIC & Wikis • Wikis are new a technology which can foster scientific collaboration and facilitate rapid exchange of ideas • Wikis will contribute to the cultural change on how we collaborate and exchange information • This fits with the BISTIC mission of making optimal use of computer science and technology to accelerate discovery in biomedical research

  4. BISTIC Members Representatives from each of the NIH institutes and centers plus representatives of other Federal agencies concerned with biocomputing. YOU ARE WELCOME TO JOIN!

  5. Monthly Meetings • BISTIC meets at 10:00 AM on the first Thursday of each month in Natcher Conference Room D. • To join BISTIC and/or our e-mail list, please send a request to Jen Villani at villanij@mail.nih.gov
