Brief Introduction The novel A Connecticut Yankee King in Arthurs court by Mark Twain basically is about a man named Hank Morgan who travels back in time to the time of King Arthur and the Knight of the round table. Hank travels there accidentally when he arrives to this age he believes that the place he has arrived to is an insane asylum. This is when the Hank is captured by a knight and taken to the chambers of King Arthur. Here Hank meets a page named Clarence who later becomes a very important person in Hanks life.

    4. Here Hank meets much important characters such as; Merlin, Arthur, and many knights. Hank in locked up in the dungeon and sentenced to execution. Here is the place were Hank Morgan uses his first trick to instill fear into the people of Camelot. He uses a solar eclipse that he remembers from the date the guard told him and he knew that it was scheduled the same day as the execution. He uses this to put fear into every body and convince them that he is a wizard even better than Merlin. After this the Plot of the story begins were Hank Morgan is considered a very powerful man and is now called by the Boss.

    5. Here the Boss starts realizing that he can install his future knowledge into this time in order to manipulate everybody to come under his power. He installs many important things from the future such as phones. He uses these things to communicate and better this time period to make it more like his own.

    10. Characters Hank Morgan (the boss) Is the protagonist of the novel who goes back in time to the age of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. He ends up in Camelot and uses his knowledge from the future to rule this time period. He uses a solar eclipse to convince the people that he has the power to block the sun. Also he uses his assistance Clearance to communicate with Camelot at all times.

    11. Characters Clarence- is Hank Morgan right hand man. Hank takes Clarence who is merely a page and educates him in order for Clarence to stay in Camelot and communicate what is happening to Hank when Hank is not there. Clarence is like Hanks eyes and ears.

    12. Characters Merlin- is a man who has a struggle against the protagonist Hank Morgan. Merlin uses very primitive tricks to convince the people of his time that he is a wizard. When Hank Morgan sees this he decides to take advantage of all the knowledge he has to defeat Merlin at his own game. However Hank keeps Merlin for two things one to make him look likes a powerful wizard and two to set him of on minor jobs. Merlin represents the vulnerability of this time period and how a man who shows people party tricks can be considered a wizard by these people of no education.

    13. Characters Sandy- Is the wife of Hank Morgan. They meet when Hank Morgan is sent off to his first adventure with her. She claims that she has seen some monsters hurting people and they go off to save them even though Hank knows it is all false. They fall in love and marry each other and have a child named Hello Central. The reason Sandy names her this is that Hank shouts this out when he sleeps.

    14. Characters King Arthur- is the king of Camelot that is a good king but does not know what the life of his people is like. Hank Morgan goes out of Camelot with the Kings and shows him what it feels like to be a prisoner and what the people who are dying look like. This a very important scene were the King sees a boy with small pocks and wants to help him even though Hank tells him that small pocks is a very serious decease that can kill him. The King sees what his people are going through and gains a more open view of Camelot.
