Baron Axel Klinckowström 1912: Till hundraårsdagen på Idun skulle jag vilja framföra några ord rörande det ämne som nu ligger mig närmast om hjärtat, nämligen fonografarkivet.För er, på er tid, då helt säkert arkiv upptagande rösterna utav era statsmän, utav era talare, utav era predikanter - om ni ännu har några! - är lika vanliga som på vår tids autografsamlingar och arkiv för handskrifter, måste det förefalla besynnerligt att ännu tjugo, trettio år efter Edisons berömda uppfinning, intet till den vägen var gjort här i Stockholm.
