  3. The Power and the Glory • Power • Power is the the ability or capacity to perform or act effectively. • A specific capacity, faculty, or aptitude • A person, group, or nation having great influence or control over others.

  4. The Power and the Glory • Glory • Great honor, praise, or distinction accorded by common consent; renown. • Something conferring honor or renown. • A highly praiseworthy asset: Your wit is your crowning glory.

  5. TV Spectacular Spectacular • Of the nature of a spectacle; impressive or sensational. • An event such as a pageant or musical, produced on a large scale and with striking effects.

  6. 9/11 Nostalgia In regards to 9/11, nostalgia can be found in newspaper clippings, memories of the loved ones lost, moments of silence, and the TV showings that air every year in remembrance.There have been songs written inspired by the tragedy of the attacks as well.

  7. Power and Glory In terms of ‘The Power and Glory’, what happened to America that year was a reason for them to pull together as a nation. Patriotism grew stronger than before, and the pride of America has grown too. The people who risked their lives to save other are all called heroes, especially the firemen.

  8. TV Spectacular There have been many TV spectaculars since the disaster first struck. Traditionally every year since thereare always mementos and remembrances shown, even here in the UK, but there are also documentaries about the event, about the survivors, about conspiracies, and there has even been a movie made.

  9. The power of the media has influenced, changed, and created a certain imagine on the audience’s collective memory. TVis only the channel, used by media to mold the public opinion. Nostalgia is the effect of certain event transited through media.
