  3. Scope of work This project is to replace 7km of existing water mains (including the 12"CI and 10"CI water mains) along Ashey Road and West Street This will include 3,730m of 350mm DI and 90mm PE pipe.

  4. Programme Phasing of work Main laying phase 1 • Ashey Road southern closures will commence November 6th until Christmas. This will be closed from East Ashey Lane to Smallbrook Stadium. • Ashey Road north section closure will start from January 2018 until March 2018 from Smallbrook Lane to West Street. • Main laying phase 2 • West Street junction Queens Road and Argyle Street – Road Closure 8th January – 2nd February with local diversion • Temporary traffic lights will be used for the rest of West Street. Connection phase • When the pipe has passed testing and sampling connections will be completed, this may include night work. We may not always be visible during this stage. Service transfers • We will give up to 72 / 48 hours notice for any interruptions to supply for connections and transferring service pipes. Scheme completion • Project completion is planned for early summer 2018. 4

  9. Working hours Intended hours To complete the scheme quicker and reduce the scheme duration our working hours are • Monday to Friday 0800 -1800 • Saturday – 0800-1400 • Sunday – 0900 – 1200 Out of hours • We may need to work out of hours for connections or any unplanned events (bursts) 9

  10. Method • We will use Horizontal Directional Drilling and open cut techniques.

  11. Access and parking • Access to businesses and driveways will remain open, however we will ask for patience when we need to excavate passed entrances. • If any special requirements are needed, please contact us with as much notice as possible.

  12. Communications • Clancy Docwra will be based on site and approachable for any customer needs and we have customer liaison officers. • Letters will be used to communicate important information and notifications of interruptions to supply, including use of local notice boards. • A customer drop in session planned October 12th 1600-1900 • A dedicated web-page will be available at https://www.southernwater.co.uk/isle-of-wight
