  1. Technical illustrator Salary – £180 per day Potential Route GCSE Product Design A Level Product Design Graphic Products Design @ University Potential Route GCSE Hospitality NVQ Level 2 in Food and Drink Service, or Hospitality Service. The successful candidate would be responsible for delivering updated work instructions for all safety critical maintenance tasks, to a high standard and in a consistent format and to the project schedule and budget.The key accountabilities are:To produce clear, consistent and accurate illustrations of safety critical maintenance tasks and equipment for inclusion in work instructions.To edit and enhance photographs to improve their quality.To work with Technical Authors to ensure that high quality work instructions With illustrations and photographs are produced.To build capability within the Management Systems team to enable them to produce and amend work instructions and associated illustrations after the project has been completed so that work instructions can be kept up to date with changing technology and practice.To ensure that the completed work instructions, photographs and illustrations are saved in the correct location, in the correct format and with a correctly allocated number.Decision Making:Key decision-making functions:- Planning and programming workload according to nature and volume of requests and the presence of deadlines.- Decide on appropriate method of presenting informationConstraints:- Existing work instructions- UK Health & Safety/Rail Safety legislation- LU Health & Safety/Rail Safety policies Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceSignificant experience (min.1 year) of drawing original CAD illustrations or drawings - Advanced knowledge of appropriate illustration software specifically both Adobe Illustrator and Bentley MicroStation v8i (in the absence of Microstation experience, Autocad or Vectorworks experience is essential)- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Photoshop- Good working knowledge of MS Office- Ability to communicate with 'clients' and understand the needs of the target audience- Ability to assimilate complicated information readily.
