  3. Colossians • False teachers (Col 2:8-23): teaching involves “the worship of angels”, visions, various ascetic measures • Epistle insists that Christ and the experience of baptism render these measures useless • Introduction of the household code tradition (3:18-4:1) and the problem of slavery
