Discussions, exams, and other activities may be conducted through this system during each week of the semester • Periodic meetings conducted via web conferencing system (Interwise ECP) at instructor’s discretion • Both “real-time” and asynchronous events • Every Semester Starts with ORIENTATION WEEK

Pointers and Hints • Common Approaches for Using the Discussion Board • Use of discussion board is at the discretion of the instructor • For “Topics of the Week”… • Post your comments • Post comments about the postings of others • Post open-ended questions for the instructor and for each other • Post ideas of your own and ask for comments • Fill out course evaluations at the end of the semester • Comments by students do matter and are acted upon. • Example: “I’d like to have more interaction with my class and/or instructor.” • Result: Interwise web conferencing system implemented.
