  2. 1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

  9. Hebrews 11:24-26 “By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, {25} choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, {26} esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.”

  10. Overcoming Temptation • Flee (1 Cor. 6:18; 10:14; 2 Tim. 2:22) • Count the Cost (Develop an eternal perspective) (2 Cor. 4:16-18; Heb. 11:24-26) • Develop Good Desires (Phil. 4:8; Matt. 12:35)

Romans 13:11-14 “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. {12} The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. {13} Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. {14} But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”

  18. 2 Corinthians 2:10-11 “Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ, {11} lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.”

  19. Conclusion Be Faithful! "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world; our faith.“ (1 John 5:4)
