  3. Meeting Agenda (Cont.d) • Holding the 1st AMEDA Leadership Forum • CSD10 sponsprship • Electing the new AMEDA President, Vice President and executive committee

Reviewing Previous Meeting Decisions • Members are to consider joining ANNA and become members of the WG4 as well. • Members approved previous meeting minutes in Mauritius. • Members approved the joining of Ghana and BVMAC to the Association • MCDR will enhance the AMEDA website and will bear AMEDA expenses. Reviewing Previous Meeting Decisions (Cont.d) • CSDs connectivity is an issue to be addressed in AMEDA meetings • Thomas Murray will provide information about the existing DRP arrangements of AMEDA members to the backup working committee and the committee will work out the details of the proposed solutions for the cross-border backup of data.   6. Reviewing Previous Meeting Decisions (Cont.d) • The First AMEDA Leadership Forum will be held in Egypt in the last week in March or the first week in April. Participation fee is $250 per each staff member and $400 for non members. • The first AMEDA meeting in 2009 will be in Egypt in the first day of the AMEDA leadership forum and the second meeting in 2009 will be in Morocco. The first meeting in 2010 will be in Libya. Alexandria in April 26th,2009 6

  7. Reviewing Previous Meeting Decisions (Cont.d) • WG4 meeting will take place during the CSD10 that will be held in Hungry May 2009 • AMEDA will host the CSD11 and Strate would prepare a budget by the end of November 2008 and AMEDA members have to submit their opinions by end of December

  8. Reviewing Previous Meeting Decisions (Cont.d) • Mr. Salah Al-Marzouk will replace Mr. Sarwer Chowdhury in the elected executive committee • MCDR will pay the annual fees for any member who would encourage another potential member to join AMEDA

  9. Current Situation • AMEDA members are now 21 members of 19 countries • The training committee headed by Ms. Monica Singer Strate CEO succeeded to organize the 1st AMEDA Leadership Forum to be held from April 27- 29, 2009 • AMEDA won the bid to host CSD11 and all regional associations supported AMEDA’s decision

  10. Future Plans • AMEDA taking part in CSD10 • Inviting all AMEDA members to participate and contribute to the organization of the CSD11 • Applying the Leadership Forums on regular basis
