Creating an XML link with Travco is easy and straightforward • Using the ‘pull’ method of XML communication, our clients access our live inventory 24 hours a day, 7 days a week • We have over 10,000 hotels available to book worldwide, with new global destinations being added weekly • We can offer the geographical co-ordinates (longitude and latitude) for our hotel range, so that these properties can be identified on an interactive mapping solution • Travco now features hotel content in six European languages: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish • Additionally, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese and Russian languages have recently been added during 2011

There are some important basic requirements that must be considered before any development takes place- Booking Engine: the Travco XML system is designed to integrate seamlessly with any booking engine. You must ensure that your system is ready to process and manage all transactions.- Developers/Programmers: the process of developing an XML link with Travco will need to be undertaken by skilled IT programmers. We have worked alongside many IT teams, both internal and external to the client. If you require help finding an external developer, then please don’t hesitate to let us know.

There are six main phases to establishing an XML link with Travco: • Initial contact with your dedicated Travco Sales Manager • Signing the non-disclosure agreement and introductions to our software developers, Data Management • Programming your application • Initial HEX Testing with Data Management • Final Testing with Travco • Live running and access to our full inventory

  5. Initial contact with your dedicated Travco Sales Manager- We have a team of 12 dedicated Sales Managers, each in charge of specific international markets- 12 different languages spoken- Regional service offices in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Egypt, India, China, Australia, and Argentina

  6. Signing the non-disclosure agreement and introductions to our software developers, Data Management- Data Management are the primary software developers for Travco- We have been working with Data Management for over 15 years- The XML Support team at Data Management are responsible for all new XML developments, before they are made live- You are required to sign a copy of the Data Management non-disclosure agreement (NDA) document, before you can access our specification documentation and test environment

  7. Programming your application- Once you have signed and returned the NDA, you will be sent a copy of the XML specification document (in PDF format)- Data Management will also send you your test credentials for use in your test XML messages- All development issues will be dealt with by the XML Support team at Data Management during this testing period, using the email address: xmlsupport@datam.co.uk- Your Sales Manager will contact you during this period in regard to setting up the financial guarantees for your account with Travco

  8. Initial HEX Testing with Data Management- Once you have completed your development work and programming, you are required to complete two phases of application testing- The first tests will be completed by the XML Support team at Data Management- A test area should be submitted to XML Support, where they can test the various features of your application

  9. Final Testing with Travco - Following the successful completion of the HEX testing with Data Management, your development will be passed to Travco for final testing- Using the same test area, the team of System Analysts at Travco will complete some final checks to ensure that all data is appearing correctly into our back-office system

  10. Live running and access to our full inventory - Following the successful completion of the final tests, you will be issued with your live access credentials and the details of the live XML connector- You will have access to over 9,000 hotels throughout the world- Any issues or queries that may arise after this point, can be directed to the XML team here at Travco, using the email address: xmlqueries@travco.co.uk

  11. - Our team of hotel contractors are constantly working with our hoteliers in order get the best possible rates for our clients. These are made available as soon as they have been loaded, via the prices returned dynamically in the XML messages- We have a great team of skilled IT staff who are always available to contact with any queries or problems that may occur- We encourage regular communication with clients once they have gone live so that we can make sure that we are providing the best possible service levels. We can look into specific Look-to-Book statistics on your account in order to identify areas for improvement and/or development

  12. - Our product inventory is updated on a daily basis by our Information team.
