  1. Kongiganak Traditional Council Heating Fuel Spill Prevention Project • This example presentation was developed based on Kongiganak’s 2012 CEDP project funded by ANTHC through an EPA Alaska Tribal Multi-Media grant.

Project Objective • Find a containment solution that would prevent fuel contamination • Educate community about the health and environmental hazards associated with fuel spills • Results • Successfully installed 17 ENPAC Single Poly Rackers. • Education about the risks fuel spills pose to the land, air, and health. • All of the laborers were provided with gloves, tyvek suits, safety glasses, and masks to keep them safe. • Benefits: • - Improved environment. • Minimized risk of fuel spills in the community. • Community members and local and regional partners are more aware of this common issue.
