  2. Machine • During this examination a Phillips IU22 ultrasound machine was used. Exam Preparation • Step 1- Read the Referral • Step 2- Check the patient notes for relevant previous imaging • Step 3- Ensure room is prepared and machine ready • Step 4- Ensure warm gel and appropriate towels etc is available. • Step 5- Collect patient from waiting room, check D.O.B and show patient where to get changed • Step 6- Explain what the examination involves • Step 7- Bring up patient details on machine • Step 8- Patient is positioned on the table, in the supine position with affected knee slightly bent up. • Step 9- Begin Examination

  4. Referral • Request: Ultrasound Rt knee. Ongoing knee pain for 5 weeks. No history of Trauma, query cause. • Please listen as I explain how I perform the examination on the Right knee using Perth Radiological Clinic Protocols
