  1. TE-MPE-EP : Activitiesduring TS3 TE-MPE-EP, RD, 13-Sept-2012

  2. List of interventions: • Reset of all DAQ systems, which recorded SEU events (all sectors). • With EE: Test of the new instrumentation wiring for transmission of QPS signals for the protection of Q10.L2. Powering tests required (above stand-by current) and is only permitted after analysis of the magnet signals by experts. It is strongly recommended to perform the powering tests on either Monday or Tuesday. • Pilot upgrade of radiation tolerant digital quench detectors of type nDQQDI. The selected circuit is RQ6.R1 (protection systems installed in RR17; requires powering tests). During the powering test a QPS specialist must be present. Due to limited expert availability this test must take place on either Monday or Tuesday. • New detection settings for current lead protection systems type DQQDC (threshold of 1 mV, 1s evaluation time). The selected circuit is RB.A12 but only the two detectors in the even point (UA23) will be upgraded (requires powering tests). • Firmware upgrades for some 600 A protection units DQGPU type A (DQGPU.C=RR77 and DQGPU.I=RR57); verification of a remote power cycling unit in RR57. • Access to CNRAD test area on Thursday morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm: reset and insertion of a power cycling unit. TE-MPE-EP, RD, 13-Sept-2012 If powering tests cannot be performed all upgrades described in 2, 3 and 4 will be rolled back to the original configuration.

  3. List of interventions: 7) BIS and SMP systems: • Preparation and cabling of the installation of a BIC in the BOOSTER related to LINAC4 tests. • With « timing people » : plan theyprovide a signal in order to verifythat the Cross Checker (CISC) istriggering the beam. • Reprogramming of receiverboards CISR (monitoring side). • To get back 2 unused couples of CIBF from IR4. • If possible: exchange the faulty CISV from Alice experiment.
