  3. An opinion is what someone thinks. To check for opinions, ask yourself, “Does this tell a thought or feeling?” “Would this statement be true all of the time?” Look for clue words such as: feel, believe, always, never, none, most, least, best, worst, perhaps, in my opinion, I think, probably, and I believe I think my tie is very nice.

  4. WHAT IS A FACT?

  5. A fact can be proved to be true. To see if something is a fact, ask yourself, “Can this statement be proved?” My tie is black.
