VISION In partnership with SSATP and theGovernments of sud-saharian african countries which subscribed toIGR World Bank program,the ARMFA indexed itself in favor of onelong term survival and the realization ofMGA fixed for the countries of sud saharian country.Indeed, this ARMFA vision indicates the strategic management for a long time that his self and affiliated members will adopt.. ARMFA

  4. Statement of Vision Thus, the AFERA has as a vision: “To be a world leader in establishing effective framework for consultation, lobbing and coordination in the sound management of road maintenance funds in Africa in order to achieve the MDGs” ARMFA

  5. MISSION The Mission of ARMFA is a statement of intent establishing principles leading to the attainment of the Vision. The Mission of ARMFA therefore is: ‘To formulate principles of best practices in the mobilization and management of road funds’ ARMFA

  6. … of the following means: • Shared knowledge, best practices and experiences in the development, rehabilitation and maintenance of roads : • Ensuring that road infrastructure is maintained according to international standards. • Advising Governments and partners with regard to the development of African RMFs. • Broadening the base of road funds • Ambassadorial duties with Governments and partners on behalf of RMFs ARMFA

MAIN GOALS In order to carry out its Vision and to fulfill its Mission,the ARMFA set the following main Goals: • To be financially self sufficient by ensuring that member countries’ contribution and other resources mobilized from within the region are sustainable to run the programmes of the Association. • To assist in the creation of an enabling environment for road funds to mobilise adequate and sustainable resources through dialogue with governments and cooperating partners. • To encourage all RMFs to attain the status of ‘SECOND GENERATION’ by legislation.   12. STRATEGIC GOALS Having conducted the SWOT analysis, ARMFA has come up with the following strategic objectives to help draw up strategies to address the key issues over the next five years: ARMFA

STRATEGIC GOALS • Develop a network for sharing experiences and good practices in financing road maintenance and efficient management of road funds. • To encourage the promotion and strengthening of ties among Road Funds in Africa through conducting exchange vists chosen RMF each year; • To work for the strengthening of capacities in the structures of member countries • To provide support to nascent structures • To promote good governance and sound management of road funds; • To promote an efficient and effective public/private partnership • To strengthen cooperation with partners in development of ARMFA • To run the association’s secretariat from own resources. ARMFA
