  1. The Lewis Letter #3 Tennis/Badmittion Relationships Parents and Teachers, We are beginning our new unit of Tennis/Badmitton with the health lesson topic of relationships. We will begin this unit starting on October 7th. It is a 3 week unit. Our students will work with various modified equipment throughout the lessons. This is our first unit using striking implements so we will discuss the safety component first. We will venture outside to participate (weather permitting) on the tennis courts on campus so the students are exposed to the outdoor court. We will also if needed use a modified net, modified tennis ball, and even a suspended ball to get oriented with striking. Our health lesson topic will be covering relationships. It will cover the various type of relationships that our students will encounter. Discussing student/teacher relationships, work relationships, siblings, and friendships. Also discussing what the characteristics of a healthy relationship are. Our Adapted PE bowling program is up and running and the kids are doing great. If interested in coming to see your child bowl check the webpage or you can contact your life skills or Adapted PE teacher. Thanks, Coach Lewis
