  5. Seattle Storm • Women’s basketball team (WNBA) • Founded in 1996 • Winner of two League Championships: 2004 and 2010 • Marquee partnership with Microsoft • 76% increase in gross revenue since 2009, increasing ticket retention and increased attendance (6%)

Sports Industry • Play in Women’s National Basketball Association • 12 teams in League • Western and Eastern Conference • Six teams are owned by NBA franchises • Compete both on and off the court • In aspects of profitability, attendance, creativity, sales and game experience • League continues to grow
