Budget: $9300/month • The budget conversation: • Should be open and honest • Should never be painful • Should be re-addressed periodically with data • How we arrive at budget: • Blended rate of $150/hour • Estimate of various team members’ time for the anticipated level of activity, front-loaded in the first two months • How we keep the budget discussion alive: • All HB staffers track their time • HB CFO reviews on a monthly basis • Quarterly reviews will raise alarms, and we will request adjustments if: • HB’s delivered services or results are below expectations • HB is consistently over-servicing • The HB Way: budget • We nurture long-term business relationships • In the long-term, an unbalanced relationship hurts all parties, even the short-term beneficiary • We take responsibility for maintaining a fair and balanced partnership • We are responsible for addressing imbalance on either side
