  1. Isaiah 9:6 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Wonderful Counselor pele‘ ya`ats Pele‘ (Hebrew): too wonderful for words Ya`ats (Hebrew): to advise or to guide Hebrew 4:15-16 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet was without sin. 16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

The Wonderful Counselor comes for the SICK Luke5:27-32 27 After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. “Follow me,” Jesus said to him, 28 and Levi got up, left everything and followed him. 29 Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. 30 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” 31 Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

  4. THREE WAYS TO FIND HEALING 1) Be brutally HONEST with the counselor John 4:16-17 16 (Jesus) told her, "Go, call your husband and come back." 17 "I have no husband," she replied. Only when we are HONEST, can Jesus HEAL Psalms 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.

THREE WAYS TO FIND HEALING 1) Be brutally HONEST with the counselor 2) Learn to listen to the counselor's VOICE Mark 9:7 7 Then a cloud appeared and covered them, and a voice came from the cloud: “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!” John 10:27 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. Only when we LISTEN, can Jesus SPEAK

  6. THREE WAYS TO FIND HEALING 1) Be brutally HONEST with the counselor 2) Learn to listen to the counselor's VOICE 3) Do what the counselor TELLS us to do. Mark 10:20-22 20 "Teacher," he declared, "all these I have kept since I was a boy." 21a Jesus looked at him and loved him. 21b "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."  22 At this the man's face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth. Only when we OBEY, will Jesus GUIDE
