  2. 1. “HEALTH LAW,” Ministry of Health and National Institute of Health Goal- to introduce students to the legal issues that arise from the relationships between patients and health care providers and provide them with theoretical knowledge and practical skills to use medical legislation Duration of the course- 1 per week, 5 days or 30 lecture hours and 10 classes Number of studentsin 1 group 23 students, residents who pass their postgraduate education by Faculties of Family Medicine Grading - Class participation, including discussions, assignments (20 %), current check oral ( 50%). Final exam ( 30%). Total mark (100%) Teaching methods- background lectures, interactive (class discussions, case studies).

  3. 2. “LEGAL REGULATION OF CONSUMER PROTECTION AND HEALTHCARE IN EU” Yerevan State University Faculty of Law (Master Course. LLM course) Course duration- 1 semester (3 credits - 32 lecture hours) Number of students- 12-16 Grading - Class participation and preparation, including readings and discussion, assignments (4 units, 20 %) Current checks (oral and/or written) (10 units, 50%), Final exam (6 units, 30%),Total mark (20 units, 100%) Teaching methods- Interactive, promoting self-study and research (background lectures, active class discussions of assigned readings, case studies, team works and presentations, guest speakers) Work Required - Weekly reading, take-home assignments, presentation of paper in class, outline for final paper (optional), final paper (optional, 15-20 pages)

  4. 3. “HealthCareandLaw” Yerevan State Medical University Goal - to provide 1st year medical residentswith theoretical knowledge, practical and professional skills in application of medical legislation Course duration-For each of the 11 groups of residents- 5 days or 36 hours (1 credit) within a three-week period. Each group having its own special trainer/instructor. Number of students-119 Grading –isbased on student attendance, participation in case and group discussions, and written test results. To receive the full credit each student had to attend all lectures and classes, attendance was mandatory, actively to participate in classes, and to pass the test, which was held on the last day. Teaching methods-lectures and interactive teaching methods: debates, conflict resolution, group discussions, case studies
