  2. What are Institutions? Institutions are organizations that show and promote music videos and also have the right to ban them with specific reasons. Some of the reasons that a music may be band: -Pornographic imaging, inappropriate language, offending images and language, offensive stereotyping.

  3. Most looked at Institutions The most looked at institutions for music videos are: music channels e.g. 4music, VIVA, Scuzz, Clubland and many more. Other music channels include ‘Youtube’, one of the biggest music playing sites on the web.

  4. Why do we need all these Institutions? One of the main, an maybe the only reasons we have all these institutions is because of all the different genre’s of music. Many music channels only show their own genre e.g. Scuzz only shows screamo and also emoish music.This makes it easier for the viewers to know where to find their music.

MTV is the first music channel that was ever broadcasted. the original purpose of the channel was to play music videos guided by television personalities known as "video jockeys," or VJ’s.Inits early years, MTV's main target demographic were young adults, but today, MTV's programming is primarily targeted at adolescents in addition to young adults.
