  1. Irina Shoshmina irena@csa.ru Institute for High Performance Computing and Information SystemsSt.Petersburg, Russia

  2. High Performance Simulation (NWO/RFBR) • High Performance Simulation on the Grid • Dutch-Russian Grid testbed • The Virtual Reactor application - to drive and validate the development • Final system - a distributed collaborative environment with advanced interaction and visualization facilities NWO – Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek RFBR – Russian Fund for Basic Research

  3. Participants of DRG – Dutch-Russian Grid • IHED-IVTAN (Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow) • IHPC&IS • Institute of Computational Mathematics (Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk) • SPb State University • UvA(University of Amsterdam)

  8. DRG – a part of CrossGrid testbed

  9. Virtual plasma reactor Software for numerical simulation of plasma enhanced chemical vapour depositionreactors (PECVD). PECVD is one of the most wide-spread technologies for production of silicon-based films, the important material in microelectronics. Requires the significant computational resources: • complex geometry of industrial reactors • complicated hydrodynamic processes • dozens of chemical species and hundreds of chemical reactions Russia + Belorussia supercomputing initiative (SKIF project)

  10. Application grid benchmarking – GridBench • GridBench: complete framework • define benchmark • Platform-independent GDBL • execute benchmarks • Hierarchical benchmarks • archive and publish results • Graphical User Interface

  11. Compiler Benchmark Component Executable GridBench UI Monitor Orchestrator Xindice Benchmark Component Executable RSL GRAM std out GRAM std out GridBench Experiments User Interface CE GBDL CE Archiver SE

  12. Our VO: now it – rdcg – is installed in Amsterdam and registered in X# Install RDCG central services based on CG central services RB, MD, OCM-G, RLS, VOserver, RAS Experiments with parallel computing on the Grid Creating a graphical interface to run a set of PECVD copies with different data Future: DRG separates from X# DRG X#
