Karsten is a new Young Professionals Member of the Great Lakes Chapter Communication Committee. What was your motivation to choose a career in the pharmaceutical industry? Being an engineer from Michigan, I have had plenty of exposure to the automotive industry but wanted to do something different. Joining the pharmaceutical industry better aligned with my values and aspirations. It is very motivating to know that every day spent working assists in providing essential, innovative, and safe medicines to patients. What do you see as some of the benefits of being involved in the ISPE? ISPE is an ideal network to broaden your knowledge by attending educational programs that feature experts on a large variety of technical topics, stay current with industry trends by taking plant tours of local facilities, and, since I am just starting my career, professional development and career planning workshops are essential. 2014 Statistics in PV Forum31 March 2014 - 01 April 2014Westin PhiladelphiaPhiladelphia, PA USA 2014 Indianapolis Training Series19 May 2014 - 22 May 2014, Indianapolis, IN USA Topics include: Oral Solid Dosage Forms ♦ Sterile ♦ Clinical Trial Materials ♦ Control for Critical Environments-HVAC Design Concepts ♦ Cleaning Validation Principles ♦ Basic Principles of CSC Using GAMP5 ♦ PV/PQS Note: ISPE International Training and Conference Events are automatically added to our GLC calendar.
