Problemele cu care România se confruntă în domeniul gestionării deseurilor au un impact major asupra societăţii, reprezintă o ameninţare directă la adresa sănătăţii si au un efect advers asupra calităţiivieţii. Cea mai mare parte a deseurilor din România sunt depozitate necontrolat. Acest fapt afecteazămediul înconjurător datorită levigatului provenit de la depozitele neconforme, levigat ce pătrunde atât înapele de suprafaţă, cât si în cele subterane. Din cauza arderii frecvente a deseurilor apare, de asemenea, şi problema poluării aerului. • The problems wich Romania has in the waste management domain have a major impact to the society, it represents a direct treat to the health of the population and a negative effect towards the quality of life. The major part of the waste in Romania are not well managed. This fact affects the enviornment, with negative effects to the grounds and waters. Also the burning of the waste brings another problem, the poluation of the air.
Iata unul din motivele principale pentru care Prefectura Constanta, Guvernul Flamand, Interleuven, Primaria Comunei Cumpana, Primaria Comunei Lumina si Primaria Comunei Corbu au demarat un proiect care are ca principal scop sensibilizarea locuitorilor si autoritatilor locale asupra problemei deseurilor si cum sa depoziteze aceste deseuri intr-un mod ecologic astfel incat sa nu aiba efecte negative asupra naturii. • This is one the main reason that the Prefecture of Constanta, the Flemish Governement, Interleuven, the Halls of Cumpana, Lumina and Corbu have decided to start togheter a project with the purpose of making inhabitans and public authorities more sensitive to the problem of waste and how to dispose of waste in an enviornmentally-friendly way that doesn’t have adverse consequences for nature.
Lumina, October 2007 In 2007 a Flemish Delegation visited Lumina for a study visit. At the hall of Lumina, The flemish experts have presented their experience with waste management. Also they talked about Different ways to inform the Population about waste management. In 2007 o delegatie flamanda a vizitat Lumina pentru o vizita de studiu. Expertii flamanzi au prezentat experienta lor in domeniul colectarii selective. De asemenea ei au prezentat diverse cai de informare a populatiei asupra colectarii selective.
Lumina, 2008 Information Campaign During several months, brochures, flyers, maps and calendars have been offered to the inhabitants who have visited the Hall of Lumina. Campanie de informare Timp de cateva luni, brosuri, flyere, mape si Calendare au fost oferite cetatenilor ce au vizitat sediul Primariei Lumina.
Lumina, 2008 • Door to door information Flyers have been distributed to the doors of each inhabitants of the apartament builduings wich have now a platform where they can recicle their waste by sorting the waste. • Informare din uşăîn uşă • Pliante au fost distribuite la uşa fiecarui locatar al blocurilor de apartamente care beneficiază acum de o platformă unde pot recicla deşeurile prin sortarea acestora şi depozitarea lor in tomberoane speciale.

Pupils recieved maps, flyers, brochures containing informations about waste managament. • Impreuna cu profesorii de la scoala din localitate in fiecare clasa au fost organizate ore de dirigentie speciale in care s-a discutat despre managementul deseurilor si reciclare. De asemenea elevii au primit flyere, brosuri si mape ce contineau informatii legate de managamentul deseurilor.
School Activities Practical activity During a class hour, pupils from fifth grade have been colecting waste from the school’s green space in different bags, for paper, plastic, and botles. The bags have been deposited by the pupils in the special containers. Activitate Practica In timpul unei ore, elevii din clasa a V-a au colectat deseuri din curea scolii in saci diferiti, pentru hartie, plastic si sticla. Sacii au fost depozitati in containerele speciale.
Kindergardenactivities • In each class children from the Kindergarden have recieved maps and flyers wich they will bring home to their parents. Based on the flyers, teachers have spoke about what recicling means and ways to protect nature. • In fiecare clasa copiii de la gradinita au primit pliante si mape pe care le vor duce acasa la parinti. Pornind de la aceste pliante, educatorii le-au vorbit elevilor despre ce inseamna reciclarea si cai de protejare a naturii.
Kindergardenactivities • Children from kindergarden have draw pictures about nature and it’s importance. • Copiii de la gradinita au pictat desene despre natura si importanta ei.
Internet promotion Since April 2008 visitors of the web site of the Hall can acces a special section of the site dedicated to the project and find all the useful information about the project, waste managament and recicling.
