  2. What are your synchronous options?

  3. What we have! Deb will show you some Pronto features and ways to connect with students later in the presentation. Please close all other applications you are running except for Elluminate at that time.

  4. What we have! • We also have Wimba Classrooms! • This is where we hold live classes. • These can be recorded for asynchronous communication as well. Elluminate and Wimba are very similar.

  5. So how do you make synchronous sessions successful? • Connect! Advertise! Engage! Doing these things will synch! Personal Engaging Synchronous Enriching Purposeful

  6. Connect • Connect with students prior to Synchronous Sessions: • Through phone calls/texts • Personal messages/emails • Spotlighting individuals in announcements • To help them feel valued Personal Engaging Synchronous Enriching Purposeful

  10. ENGAGE! • Once they arrive… ENGAGE THEM! • 1. What bells and whistles do you have available? Use them! • Polls • PowerPoints • Images • Video • Eboard/whiteboard • Get students active! • 2. Have students help you monitor chat, give them a task. • 3. Teach them the tools of your synchronous option (check marks, icons, etc). • 4. Download content/plan ahead!!!
