  1. Editing Your Faculty Homepage • This tutorial will go through the steps for editing your Faculty homepage. • Thank you to Ryan Vyborny for letting me use his faculty webpage as an example.

  2. Editing Your Faculty Homepage • Go to the GCHS website (www.central.greeleyschools.org). • At the top right of the webpage, click “Sign In”.

  4. Editing Your Faculty Homepage • Type in your User Name & Password and click the “Sign In” button underneath your password.

  6. Editing Your Faculty Homepage • This now takes you back to the GCHS website. • You will now see “Site Manager” & “My Account” at the top right of the webpage. • Click “Site Manager”.

  8. Editing Your Faculty Homepage • This takes you to a new window for the editing portion of the website. • You will see the Channels of the website that you have access. Depending on your privileges, you will be able to click on the Channel(s) associated with your Department, Club, and/or Faculty position.

  9. Editing Your Faculty Homepage • If you have access to more than one Channel, you will see all of those channels available in the left column. For editing your Faculty homepage, you will want to be in the “Faculty” Channel, which is the default screen as you log in. If you are somehow in one of the other Channels, click on your name in the left column to get to your “Faculty” pages. • If you do not have access to more than one Channel, your default screen is your “Faculty” channel and you will see your “Faculty” pages.

  10. Editing Your Faculty Homepage • You should now be at your “Faculty” page. You should see the two or three default pages (depending on your faculty position): • “Welcome” • “Homework Assignments” (this is optional) • “Class Calendar” • Within the “Welcome” page there are actually three applications set up as the default: • “Announcements App” (Announcements App) • “Flex App” (Flex Editor App) • “Biography” (Flex Editor App)

Editing Your Faculty Homepage • After hovering your mouse over the top of the Page title “Welcome” a window will pop up that shows you all of the applications within that page. • Once this pop-up window shows up, move your mouse over the top of the grey “Flex Editor App” box. Click the “Flex Editor App” box. This is where your contact information is located along with your picture & class schedule. • If your room # or phone # is incorrect, go ahead and change them as needed.

  15. Editing Your Faculty Homepage • To change your picture, hover your mouse over your existing picture and left-click the picture one time. This will select the picture and you will see a box with dots around the picture. • If you do not currently have a picture on your page, move your mouse over to the cell where the words “insert photo” are located and left-click in that cell. • Click the “Insert Image” icon on the left of the editor screen right above the word “Welcome”. • Follow the instructions on the next slides.

  16. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Click your picture or click in the cell next to the text “insert photo”. Click the “Insert Image” icon above the word “Welcome”.

  17. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Click the “Browse” button to find the picture you want to upload. Check the “Medium Size” option after you finish browsing. You then come to the “Insert Image” screen. Click the “Continue” button when finished.

  18. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Now you must enter “Alternative Text” for the picture. The default pixel size will be 400 in height or 300 in width.

  19. Editing Your Faculty Homepage “Picture Name” is what I’ve chosen as the “Alternative Text”. Click the “Insert Image” button to insert the image and exit back to the “Flex Editor”. Make sure the pixel numbers are either 313 in height or 250 in width.

  21. Editing Your Faculty Homepage • If you wish to use an existing image for your profile picture, enter the “Insert Image” page the same way as mentioned before. • If you can’t remember the steps to get you to the “Insert Image” page follow the next few slides as shown.

  22. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Click your picture or click in the cell next to the text “insert photo”. Click the “Insert Image” icon above the word “Welcome”.

  23. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Back at the “Insert Image” page. Click “Existing Image” to choose from an existing image already uploaded.

  24. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Any existing images will show up here. Select the image you wish to use. Click the “Continue” button when finished choosing your photo.

  28. Editing Your Faculty Homepage • To insert a link from any of your pages to a website location, follow the steps given in the next few slides. • For our example, let’s add a link to a GCHS webpage for our AP Psychology class.

  29. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Click the “Insert Link” icon. Highlight the text where the link will be.

  31. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Click on “Choose A Site” and select “Greeley Central High School” from the drop-down menu.

  32. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Click on “Choose A Channel” and select “Departments” from the drop-down menu.

  33. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Click on “Choose A Section” and select “Social Sciences/History” from the drop-down menu.

  34. Editing Your Faculty Homepage I realize that AP U.S. Government is NOT AP Psychology but at the time I was creating this there were no AP Psych pages…… Click on “Choose A Page” and select “AP U.S. Government” from the drop-down menu.

Editing Your Faculty Homepage • Scroll down to the Class Schedule table and enter your 1st Semester classes & room #’s. • When finished modifying your “Flex Page”, click “Save” at the top left of the page. • The “Save” button will change to say “Working” and will change back to “Save” when it is finished. • Click the “X” at the top right of the window or hit “Cancel” at the top left of the window to return back to your Faculty Section pages.

  38. Editing Your Faculty Homepage • Now let’s add an announcement using the “Announcements App” under the “Welcome” page. • Hover your mouse over the “Welcome” page and select the grey “Announcements App” application box.

  41. Editing Your Faculty Homepage At the “Announcements App”, click the “New Announcement” button at the top left.

  42. Editing Your Faculty Homepage First enter the “Name” of the announcement. In this example, we’ll use “AP Psychology Starts TODAY!”. Next, we need to enter the actual announcement.

  43. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Click the “Display Duration” tab. The announcement page after entering the required input.

  44. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Enter the “Start Date” and the “End Date” for the announcement. When finished, click the “Save” button at the bottom left.

  45. Editing Your Faculty Homepage FYI: Clicking the boxes for the dates will bring up a calendar for you to choose the dates you wish to use, or you can just type in the date.

  46. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Click the “X” in the top right corner to exit back to the “Faculty” pages.

  47. Editing Your Faculty Homepage • Now let’s edit your “Biography” page. • Hover your mouse over the “Welcome” page and select the grey “Biography” Flex Editor application box.

  50. Editing Your Faculty Homepage Move your mouse to the end of the “More to come!” underneath “Biography” and left-click in the cell. Start typing your biography. Do the same for “Personal Message”
