  2. Location • Russia is located in Northern Asia. • It is bordering the Arctic Ocean, between Europe and North Pacific Ocean. • The latitude is 60 degrees North, 100 degrees East. • It has a total of 17,098,242 square miles.

  3. Place • The lowest elevation point is in Caspian Sea -28 m. • The highest elevation point is in Gora El’brus 5,633 m. • There is volcanic activity in the Kuril Island. • Volcanoes & earthquakes Kamchatka Peninsula. • There is spring floods and forest fires.

  4. Human Environment/Interaction • There is air pollution from heavy industries. • There are emissions from coal fired electrical plants. • There is soil contamination from agricultural chemicals. • There is ground water contamination from toxic waste.
