Water Pollution • 1. 40% of America’s rivers are to polluted to fish or swim. • 2. 46% of America’s lakes are too polluted to fish or swim. • Approximately 1 trillion tons of nitrogen waste flows into the Gulf of Mexico in a year. • An estimated 6 million people die from drinking polluted water in the world.

  13. Air Pollution • Vehicle exhaust contributes roughly 60% of all carbon monoxide emissions nationwide, and up to 95% in cities. • Global Warming (if you believe the data) • Acid Rain • Respiratory problems in People

  14. Noise Pollution • Large Equipment (Bull Dozers, Pans, Etc.) • Manufacturing Plants with mobile equipment and other Machinery • Steam Lines and Blow-offs • Jack Hammers and other pneumatic tools

  15. To System Dependent • The electrical grid for the nation is all tied up on same network. Glitches in the system can cause major problems with the following; • 1. Traffic signals • 2. Elevators • 3. Home Appliances • 4. Communications • 5. Air Traffic Controllers

  16. More Dangerous Warfare • Need I say anything else about a more dangerous warfare that comes from Technology.

  17. Conclusion of Impacts of Technology • There are many good aspects to technology that help us live a more productive, healthier, long life. They include better medicine, communication, and ability to get wherever we want. • But without the proper thoughts and careful planning, we can potentially due irreparable damage to ourselves and our planet for future generations.
