Diagnostic testing is essential to the basic management of patient care, allowing our physicians to detect disease earlier, make diagnoses, prescribe therapies, and monitor patient progress. La Clinica, S.C., offers a variety of diagnostic testing services to patients during their care program including radiological services (X-rays) and NCVs/EMGs. X-Rays, EMGs and NCVs: X-rays: Plain X-rays are not painful. They are a quick, non-invasive study useful in the detection of pathology of the skeletal system, as well as for detecting some disease processes in soft tissue. In many cases, regular X- rays are the only diagnostic test that is performed. EMG/NCV: Electrodiagnostic testing is a minimally invasive procedure in which very tiny needles are placed along the spine and along certain muscles. The electrical response between the nerves and the muscles can determine which nerves are not functioning properly. Locations
