  2. Abstract • This workshop will focus on the administrative side of publicizing your work. The Web is an outstanding resource for going global with your message and in this workshop we will explore the power--and perils--of self-promotion via the Internet. • Some attention will be paid to "managing" your message, but emphasis will be placed on the imperative to let your substance guide your presentation…and not allow your presentation guide your substance. Visibility without meaningful content is a recipe for disaster; meaningful content without visibility is a recipe for extinction. Here, we will explore how to harmonize scholarship, pride, humility, and effective communication.
