Steps to Get Registered! • *Log on to your CUNY Portal by going to www.cuny.edu • Once logged in, click on “ESIMS” under “SSO Applications for Students” • Read main page of ESIMS to see if there are any stops on your account and to see when your tuition payment is due • Get any stops cleared by visiting the department that administered the stop(s) • Clicking on the stop(s) will indicate the department that put it on your record • All students who have under 30 credits will have an EF Stop on their account which prevents students from registering online without first meeting with an Academic Advisor or Freshman Peer Advisor. This stop is temporarily cleared during registration. • In the left column, click on “Open Sections” to view available course offerings • Select semester – Spring 2010 • Just have Undergraduate selected & uncheck Graduate • Click “No” where it says “List Disciplines Under Department” then click “Search” • Next to where it says “Discipline” select the subject you want to look up and pick the specific course you wish to take • Click “Only Open Sections” and then click “Search” • Map out a schedule based on the courses you were advised to take and copy down the corresponding 4-digit Course Registration Codes • Remember: You must register to take classes at least 3 days a week / No 2 day schedule • Return to ESIMS main screen, click “Registration” and select Spring 2010 • Type in the 4-digit Course Registration Codes you wrote down previously and press “Submit” • Return to ESIMS main screen and click “Schedule/Grades” to view the courses you registered for, the times, days & locations Trouble Logging on to CUNY Portal? * If you do not have a CUNY Portal login, click “Register Now” to sign up for an account If you remember your Username, but forgot your Password, click on “Forgot Your Password” to retrieve your login info If you do not remember your Username or Password, you will need to contact the DoIT Helpdesk at 212-237-8200 or go by ONE STOP to retrieve your Username If you have any additional problems logging on to the CUNY Portal please contact the DoIT Helpdesk at 212-237-8200
