  1. 7th and 8th Grade Expectations No Excuses And Zero Tolerance

  2. Homeroom Expectations • Students will be QUIETLY eating, and/or completing bell work • Students will NOT be out of their seat for any reason without permission • Restroom needs will be taken care of before the bell rings at 8am.

  3. Entering the Classroom Students have 3 minutes: • Enter room quietly • Find assigned seat • Sharpen pencils • Have materials out • Ready to Learn • Bell work started

  4. Bell Work Expectations • Write objectives first • Has to be completed by ALL • Bell work will be completed in 5-7 minutes

  5. Agenda Expectations • Mandatory in each class • Students will write homework and class work assignments in agenda for each class • If no homework is given, students will write “NH” • Students will have agendas out when teacher is taking points

  6. Line Expectations 3 S Lines • Single • Straight • Silent

  7. Classroom Transitions • 2 minutes to line up and transition to next classroom • Quickly, quietly, and meeting hallway expectations

  8. Morning/Lunch Lines: 8th Grade • Lined up at the pillars by block C class, B class, A class • Have 3 minutes from time the whistle blows to a 3 S Line • If you take our learning time we take your time

  9. Morning/Lunch Lines: 7th Grade • Lined up by the basketball courts in your teacher designated spot • Have 3 minutes from time the whistle blows to a 3 S Line • You are ready WHEN the teacher get’s there NOT after they get there

  10. Restroom Expectations • Weekly pass per student • Two opportunities to use restroom during class time (once in morning/ afternoon) • Students have 3 minutes in restroom; time will be written on your pass before leaving the classroom according to the classroom clock • Students will NOT be using the restrooms during direct teacher instruction • Recess time is your bathroom time; use them before you go outside • Lost passes result in needing an adult escort to the restroom

  11. Make Your Day Adjustments • Warning/ teacher redirection • Step 1: fill out reflection and behavior improvement form in teacher designated spots Your opportunity to take responsibility for your choices and make better behavior choices. • Step 2: MYD room/ parent conference Assigned work from teacher needs to be completed upon your return

  12. Wednesday Fun Day • During your specials time on Wednesdays • 30 minutes of “Earned Time” • If you waste our teaching or learning time, we take your time. • Flash mob/ Goalie challenge/ 3 on 3 basketball tournament/ Root Beer Floats
