  3. NOBLE’S HOSPITAL • serves a population of approximately 80,000 • has a complement of 318 beds • provides a wide range of services • Medical staff of around 124.6 w.t.e

  4. NOBLE’S HOSPITAL is a new Hospital on a greenfield site After 10 years of planning, it opened its doors to the public on 14th July 2003. It is equipped to the highest standards using state of the art technology

  6. Noble’s Hospital is part of a much wider Department known as the DHSS which for administrative purposes is divided into 3 Divisions. The DHSS is the largest public or private sector organisation on the Isle of Man, employing around 3,200 staff in 2634.50 w.t.e posts with a gross revenue budget of £395.4 million A lot of useful additional information about the DHSS is provided in the Staff portfolio which you will be given during your local induction

  7. HUMAN RESOURCES The management of human resources is headed up by Mrs Lesley Keenan, the Director who is based in Markwell House. MEDICAL STAFFING is based in the Management Suite at Noble’s Hospital and we comprise the following staff: Hilary Leece, Medical Staffing Manager Linda Kelly, Deputy Medical Staffing Manager Dot Kelly, Administrative Officer

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH • You must have been cleared by occupational health before seeing any patients • Nobles swab for MRSA, please get swabbed by University OH before you leave to make sure you are not a carrier! • You may be asked to undergo certain tests and provide certain information: eg. Hepatitis B • Occupational Health is situated at the old Noble’s Hospital site on Westmoreland Road

CATERING FACILITIES • Staff restaurant is subsidised and open daily from 0800 - 1930 • Coffee room with vending facilities and microwave is adjacent to restaurant and open 24 hours a day • Coffee shop in atrium foyer is open during office hours • Residential accommodation is self-catering with each unit supplied with a fully equipped kitchen
