The Role of Science & Technologyin Supporting Smart City Construction • Smart city is a new generation technology of ICT; it is a city’s flesh including smart technology, smart application, smart services, smart administration, smart culture and smart life. Smart city will create an innovative environment, resulted in realizing the application of comprehensive sensing, universal broadband internet and smart integration and the sustainable innovation featured in users innovation, opening-up innovation, public innovation and collaborated innovation. • Essentially, smart city is a sort of new thinking, new mode, new form on urban development, urban management and social development. The application of intelligent technology should be integrated with citizen conducts, the mode of economic growth, the mode of social management and operation mechanism, and even the reformation and innovation of legal system.
