State Librarian Search update • Process • Advertised locally and nationally • Closed February 28 • April interviews • Selection by screening committee from library community, CSL staff; and Commissioner Moloney/CDE staff • Nancy is officially retired April 30. Moving State Library Location • Capitol is moving some staff, displacing other CDE staff, who return to CDE • Space for State Library staff being sought • State publications (4) and Web Support Services (3) remaining at CDE • Location downtown, near CDE • CSL will remain as part of Dept of Education Colorado State Library: Spring 2005

Colorado’s Historic Newspaper Collection • A joint project of Colorado State Library, Colorado Historical Society, and Collaborative Digitization Program (CDP) • Digitized historic papers, 1859-1928 • 200,000 pages from 74 newspapers representing 39 cities in 28 counties • Libraries can contribute funds to have their local paper digitized • www.cdpheritage.org/newspapers Colorado State Library: Spring 2005
