  3. Main activities at Global, Regional and Country levels for the 3 technical components

  4. Technical assistance REGION BASED • Development of guidelines/training material • Adaptation of guidelines to CIS context • Development of specific guidelines when necessary • Workshops for introducing cost-effective methodologies COUNTRY BASED • TA to target countries

  5. Training REGION BASED • Using existing regional training centers • Answering to specific needs of the region as well COUNTRY BASED • On-the-job training in target countries

  6. Research GLOBAL LEVEL • Answering global needs in terms of cost-effective methodologies • Research results = direct inputs for guidelines, training material REGIONAL BASED • No activities funded through the Trust Fund • However specific needs may be addressed and coordination needed with Global level • Research activities funded out of the Global trust Fund may be coordinated within GS umbrella
